At ŠKODA's Design Centre in Mladá Boleslav (in the Czech Republic), we are always looking towards the future. Our design studies involve the materialisation of our designers’ ideas concerning the future forms and functions of ŠKODA vehicles. They show the direction our design language will take and also how its typical visual elements will look in their future generations.
The creative development starts with conceptual sketches, followed by testing and the creation of data files called ‘packages’ which are then used to produce exact replica ‘clay’ models.
The two latest ŠKODA concepts, VisionD and MissionL, give you a taste of the form our vehicles will take in the near future. They present the new design language, which places an emphasis on simple, sharply cut lines and elegant shapes. At the same time, the traditional design elements of the ŠKODA brand are also developed and we continue to discover simple yet clever solutions in the spirit of our motto “Simply Clever”.
