The ŠKODA Yeti strikes the perfect balance between on road performance, style and family orientated practicality. With VarioFlex rear seating, sizeable boot space and higher ride height as standard, the Yeti is perfect in towns and cities alike. It has all the benefits of a SUV vehicle combined with the practicality and drive of a family hatchback.

The ŠKODA Octavia Scout 4x4 combines all the practicality of a family vehicle with the appeal of an SUV. Designed around the characteristics of the timeless Octavia Wagon, the Octavia Scout 4x4 is reﬁned and robust in appearance, yet sturdy and resilient to cope with a variety of conditions; from the urban streets to the great outdoors.

Space & Varioflex seats

Columbus Satellite Navigation

The car stereo, Columbus Navigation System* and trip computer are housed in one system that gives the driver access to the vehicle setup, Driver Assist Systems and comfort functions through a single device. The proximity sensor recognises when a hand is moving towards the touchscreen and brings up the function buttons ready to be used, while intuitive swiping and pinching movements allow the user to scroll menus and zoom into maps easily.

Now available in Navi Pack for a limited time, Amundsen Satellite Navigation^# unit offers a 6.5” touch screen display and features MP3, USB, SD-card slot, Bluetooth® and 8 speakers.

Columbus Navigation System and Amundsen Satellite Navigation unit also features SmartLink^ - delivering a seamless connection between car and smartphone using Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto^TM. SmartLink enables you to control compatible apps from the infotainment display, whether it be listening to music on the smartphone connected or receive turn-by-turn directions; all of this is mirrored on Columbus display.

Yeti – VarioFlex Seats

Incredible flexibility allows you to change the capacity of the ŠKODA Yeti boot, and at the same time easily remove the back seats to enlarge the Yeti into the size of a small van.

The VarioFlex system consists of three separate rear seats that can be independently manipulated and removed. The side seats of the Yeti can be moved sideways. After removal of the middle seat you can move the seats into the centre of the car, creating an extremely roomy and comfortable environment for the two rear passengers. You can also fold all of the back seats so they are all retractable.

Luggage Space

The standard luggage compartment volume of 321 litres can be increased to 1,665 litres by removing the rear seats. Inside the boot, the light, hooks to secure shopping bags, luggage compartment tray and 12V socket are all part of standard equipment.

Hidden within Octavia Scout 4x4's sleek design is exceptional luggage space, boasting 588 litres of space with the rear seats up and a phenomenal 1718 litres with the rear seats down.

Vehicle space overview

All the seats in the Yeti and Octavia Scout are comfortably firm. The front seats have exaggerated side sculpting that reliably support and hold the driver and passenger in place when cornering. The outer rear seats are also ergonomically designed for the maximum comfort of the two passengers. There is also space in the back for three people to travel in comfort.

Simply Clever storages

Simply Clever design across the interior of the Yetis delivers storage for various sundry items. The centre console is equipped with two cup-holders and practical pockets in the front doors can hold 1-litre bottles. A box under the front arm-rest is located between the front seats and further storage is available in a storage box in the upper part of the dashboard. The rear passengers can use door pockets, able to hold 0.5-litre bottles. Folding tables are available on the rear side of the front seats, along with other practical solutions.

Electronic Differential Lock (EDL)

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC or Electronic Stability Control, in all Yeti models, helps every driver handle critical situations by detecting and reducing loss of traction (skidding). The stability program uses the capabilities of ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) and other special sensors to prevent slipping or locking the wheels. The principle function is limiting the engine torque; and braking the inner rear wheel in case of understeer, or outer front wheel in case of oversteer.

ESC provides significant help to the driver, but it still can’t overcome the laws of nature. The ESC will help the driver if the limits of grip are not exceeded on the wheels used to stabilise the vehicle.

Flashing Brake Lights

When braking hard from speeds above 60km/h, the brake lights start flashing automatically. After the Yeti 4x4 Outdoor becomes stationary, the brake lights stop flashing and hazard lights are switched on. After taking off again, the hazard lights are switched off automatically.

This measure reduces the risk of rear-end impact, especially when approaching the traffic jams on highways or sudden braking in front of the unexpected obstacle.

Rear View Camera

For even easier parking, the Yeti is equipped with a rear-view camera located on the boot handle. It monitors the space behind the car and indicates the driving lines, based on the vehicle width.

The ŠKODA Yeti delivers safety without compromise. This compact SUV was awarded five stars by ANCAP for its exemplary safety features.

Airbags

The airbags act to prevent the contact of the occupant’s body with the rigid components of the vehicle. The new ŠKODA Yeti is equipped with seven airbags, including; driver and front passenger airbags, driver and front passenger side airbags, curtain airbags - front and rear and a knee airbag for the driver.

Electronic Differential Lock (EDL)

On roads with different surfaces on each side, for example dry tarmac on one side and dirt or gravel on the other, the Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) enhances safety and performance. An electronic control unit (ECU) continually receives data from ABS wheel speed sensors on the driven wheels and if the ECU detects that one wheel is slipping, it applies the brake pressure to match its speed to the second, non-slipping wheel. This also directs the torque to the wheel with better traction enabling it, to transfer more power. The EDL advantages are most obvious during acceleration or driving up the hill with low traction under one of the driven wheels.
